The Institute for Oil and Gas Studies is a multidisciplinary research, training and consulting department at the University of Cape Coast (UCC). It was established in 2013, with the goal of building capacity in the oil and gas sector through teaching, research and outreach for the efficient management of petroleum resources, revenues and the environment. The Institute also hosts the UCC - GNPC Petroleum Centre of Excellence in Petroleum and Energy Research and Policy.
